Experiences

  • Software Engineer Intern - GovTech Singapore, Experimental Systems & Technology Lab (ESTL)

    May 2024 - July 2024

Developed and architected a new serverless service backend to handle asynchronous job processing across school placement and registration exercises (OnePlacement) using AWS serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway and EventBridge. Also scaffolded the foundations for end-to-end report generation (from the frontend client to the serverless job service).

  • Software Engineer Intern (Team Lead) - Computing for Voluntary Welfare Organisations (CVWO)

    May 2023 - July 2023

Led a team of 5 software engineers developing software systems that support the day-to-day operations of Lions Befrienders Service association (LBSA). Headed project management, including project planning and delegation, client and team management, code reviews, and product design. Besides introducing new enhancements, including enhancing Singpass 2FA integration and implementing a calendaring view for case visit tracking, our team also migrated the system's frontend from Rails View to React. This involved porting 42 functional modules, comprising over 150 pages in just 13 weeks.
